Colder weather this winter season and lots of rain might have caused you problems with your driveway. Maybe you’re seeing large cracks, or maybe you’re seeing that it’s not level anymore. Perhaps this is even causing drainage problems which is making the problem worse. This is definitely a great reason to look into slab leveling for your driveway. Slab leveling & lifting will not only correct the problem, but it will be done easily and prevent future issues like those with drainage.

What is Slab Lifting & Leveling?

Many people think that the only way to fix a driveway that’s having problems with cracks, sloping, or something else is to completely take it out and repour. However, a really good option in the majority of cases is slab leveling. Slab leveling & lifting can be performed in many ways, but the main way that Basement Authority of WV uses is PolyRenewal™ technology. PolyRenewal™ is a good option for cost-effective repair that can be used the same day. It also uses little equipment and drills small holes into your driveway. Plus, polyfoam for slab leveling is long-lasting and will not need redone in the near future.

Mudjacking vs. PolyRenewal™ Technique

Mudjacking used to be the only way to level your concrete, but now polyfoam is a newer, more improved way to raise your slab. It requires minimal equipment, dries quickly, and can be used the same day. This is in opposition to mudjacking which can be messy, take a long time to dry, and usually cannot be used the same day. Plus, with mudjacking there are multiple large holes drilled into your driveway that can be difficult to cover up. Polyfoam uses several small holes and a long tube to inject the foam. Lastly, mudjacking will have to be redone at some point in the near future, while polyfoam lasts for many years to come.
