Spouses Pat and Ricki Edwardson founded Basement Authority of West Virginia in 2003. Ricki has a long history in the industry, beginning her career in her father’s construction business and receiving a bachelor’s degree in engineering. In 2022, BAWV partnered with Groundworks, the nation’s leading and fastest-growing foundation and water management solutions company, to strengthen their business and expand their presence in the community. BAWV is a BBB accredited business with over 35 trained experts to assist the homeowner with any foundation repair, waterproofing, crawlspace, or concrete needs.

Caesar Goodman was a delight and super informative in helping me make an informed decision on what to do with my ground floor. He answered all my questions and concerns effectively and patiently. Cesar is a great asset to Basement Authority‘s of WV. Highly recommend it. I now feel confident that my ground floor will be eliminated of me having to empty three dehumidifiers on a regular daily basis. What a relief!

Had my basement window well replaced by Bix after it started to cave in and fill with water after a storm. They were quick to come out and price it and got me scheduled quick as well. They came out on time and got the work done in a timely manner. The workers were friendly and professional. After a few rains they did a great job of coming back out and smoothing out the fill dirt and reseeding. I would definitely use them again.

We just had an inspection from BAWV. Caesar Goodman was on time for our appointment. He listened to our concerns and did the inspection right away. He went over the proposal to fix our problem step by step. We were impressed with his knowledge and the time he spent answering our questions. I would recommend him and BAWV without hesitation.

We felt supported and heard throughout the duration of the process. We were pleased with all of the people who worked on our property—they were helpful, respectful and clean. Our foreman and his crew (Cody, Josh and Zae) did quality work from start to finish. We are extremely happy.
