Spouses Pat and Ricki Edwardson founded Basement Authority of West Virginia in 2003. Ricki has a long history in the industry, beginning her career in her father’s construction business and receiving a bachelor’s degree in engineering. In 2022, BAWV partnered with Groundworks, the nation’s leading and fastest-growing foundation and water management solutions company, to strengthen their business and expand their presence in the community. BAWV is a BBB accredited business with over 50 trained experts to assist the homeowner with any foundation repair, waterproofing, crawlspace, or concrete needs.

I was super tired of my leaky basement and decided to do something about it. I looked into Basement Authority because I was seeing commercials and ads all over the place. I read reviews and watched multiple videos of the work they did. I contacted them through the website for an estimate. They sent Mike Cornecelli to do my estimate. Mike was very open and honest about what I needed and what he could do to help me. I can imagine there is a more knowledgeable person out there because he did a very thorough inspection and took pics and measurements. He made a plan on his laptop and showed me exactly what was going to happen and scheduled my appointment for installation. I needed wall supports, a gutter system and vapor barrier to fix the issues going on. My original date of install was moved up 3 weeks, which I am really grateful for. I had good communication throughout the whole process and the men worked every day until it was completed. I have zero complaints and highly recommend everyone use Basement Authority to fix your basement issues. I have learned so much about why leaks happen and how to correct them. Every man on the job was extremely polite and quick to answer any questions I had. They also offer a lifetime guarantee for the life of the home and yearly inspections to ensure everything is working properly. Contact Mike C and your problems will be fixed correctly and quickly. Well done guys!!! I'm more than thrilled with the work and the outcome from beginning to end!!!!
