Neither of these are purely cosmetic—they’re structural too. At BAWV, stabilizing walls is the first thing we do to restore your home. Using tools personalized to your home, we anchor your walls into alignment and reinforce them to stand strong.
Permanently Stabilize Floor Framing System
When foundation problems strike, you’re going to feel it in your floors. Sagging, bouncing, uneven floors—all little issues telling you to act fast, and with BAWV, you can. Any issue with your floors is a problem we want to address permanently. The worry stops with us, and that’s because we give you industry-leading supports fitted to your foundation to put an end to sagging, uneven floors.
Permanently Stabilize Perimeter Foundation
Settlement is what happens when the soil beneath your home erodes, shifts, and dips, pulling your foundation down with it. When this happens, BAWV is ready with foundation support piers. Piers are support beams attached to your foundation and drilled into the ground. They reach down to load-bearing soil and raise your sinking foundation back up. With foundation piers from BAWV, we’ll get your home back on solid ground.

The worst thing to have in your basement is uncontrolled moisture. Moisture is what mold needs to grow, and that means if you have any organic material in your basement (fabric, wood, carpet, books, and prized mementos), it can get ruined—and fast. But moisture doesn’t just get in through open doorways and windows. It can get in through even the smallest cracks in your walls. That’s why our first step in basement waterproofing is sealing your walls with an industry-leading vapor barrier.
Control Ground Water Seepage
It’s impossible to keep water 100% out of your basement. Doing so could actually increase the pressure it puts on your home from the outside. Instead, you want to control it. You want to gather it all up and send it away from your foundation so that it can’t damage your home. That’s why an interior drainage and sump pump system is so important: they remove water and relieve the pressure put on your foundation, protecting your home from water damage.
Control the Environment
The final piece to the puzzle of basement waterproofing is an energy-efficient dehumidifier. Mold spores in the air can cause you and your family to have allergic reactions like coughing and shortness of breath. Not to mention, mold also eats away at your home! The ground around and under your house is full of water. Rain and snow saturate the soil, seep into your crawl space, and evaporates, filling the crawl space with moisture and humidity. The first thing we do to stop this from happening is to add drainage in your crawl space to cycle out the water trying to get in.

The next step we take to protect your crawl space from moisture is to seal it with an industrial grade vapor barrier. This will change the environment in your crawl space and keep it controlled. It will keep all the moisture trying to destroy your home from getting in through open crawl space vents, gaps in the foundation wall, and any other opening. All of these need to be encapsulated. We recently had our crawlspace encapsulated, and Basement Authority of WV were great to work with. Carrie did our inspection and was thorough and communicative. Trenton, Jordan, and Joey completed our project quickly. They were professional, prompt, and efficient. They even came back the next day to address an issue with the custom door. I was impressed by their communication and the way they cleaned up after each day’s work. I would highly recommend all of these folks.
